Your Moment of ‘Zoo… How can you blog about the ‘Zoo without referencing the local beer culture. The picture is from one of my favorite hangouts! Check it out: http://www.gonzosbiggdoggbrewing.com/

Your Moment of ‘Zoo… My favorite season is just about to start and I encourage everyone to go out to discover the parks Kalamazoo has to offer. This picture was taken @ Milham Park and can’t even capture the golden glow that was surrounding the entire park.
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… Everyone in the ‘Zoo knows about “The Promise” and for those who have the opportunity to take advantage of it, it is a true game changer. If you’re not from here, you can read up on it here!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… This is another old picture I am very fond of. It is the interplay of the last daylight with the night lights the city generates that I was trying to capture with this shot.
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… There are a couple of pictures I wanted to post for a while and this is one of them. It is an impactful visual to watch the fountain growing higher and then transition into the sun light. If you have the opportunity, go to the Western Campus and see it!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… Kalamazoo’s Original Coffee House!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… Interesting difference in architecture!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… Looks like there’s fire coming out of the smokestack!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… A nice contrast on this beautiful summer morning!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… This mornings sunrise was definitely such a moment. Someone commented on this picture by stating:
“Love the sun, the way it looks like a ball of fire rising up from the dark is almost inspiring. If the sun started its day that way today, why shouldn’t I?!”
Hope you all have a great day!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… Nothing says Kalamazoo more than the Kalamazoo Building!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… So, I have to ask… what is the mystery behind clocks in public places that are not working. This is the second picture in two weeks where I noticed that the time was off. Maybe I should start looking for clocks or clock towers within the county to document the accuracy. Do you have some suggestions…?
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… I worked almost a full year in an office at the Peregrine Tower and I never realized how big this building is. It is interesting how your perspective is shaped when you look at things from a different angle.
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… I did love the play with the lights… Caught on the way back to the car, looking left at the right time!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… I can’t believe that August is already over! As I was camping out on the roof top to take this picture I was reflecting on how time seems to go faster as older you get. However, when you’re waiting for this special moment when you suppose to push the trigger to take that shot, it seems that time is dragging on forever… Anyhow, with deep thoughts into a great September! 🙂
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… For years I’ve been thinking about taking this picture, but as long the sign was turning, there was just no way going to do a long exposure 🙂 Recently the motor stopped and finally, I was able to seize the opportunity!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… The tower of this facility has always sparked my interest and I would love to go up there and take some pictures from there.
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… Looks like the last physical evidence of the M.D. Ellis Jewelry store in Kalamazoo. I was searching for more history on the store, but all I could find was that it was founded in 1958 by Raymond Mackie. If you have some info on the history please reply to this blog!
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… the town just looks different @Dusk! I was attracted to the lights enhancing the buildings appearance, but had to process the heck out of it to recreate the impression it made on me. And all I see now are burned out lights 🙂 I come up with 5! Do you find any more?
Your Moment of ‘Zoo… I have been walking by this window a couple of times and always wondered if it would be a good motive for a picture. So, finally I took the picture and am still on the fence. I do like the reflections, but it is not as vibrant as in real life. Now I am more interested in what is behind the mirror 🙂
